(Draft) The Breckenridge Club plans on joining the Summit County Club with their plastics project.

The Rotary Club of Denver NE will be performing a Cleanup & Beautification of the Sand Creek Park located in the Central Park Community. We are also raising funds to assist in either replacing the Historical / Educational Signage and/or the 2 rodent protected trash cans at Trail Head off Smith Road

In partnership with The Tree People and Denver Parks and Recreation, Denver Mile High Rotary and friends will plant 30 trees in the Denver Greenway Park northeast Denver (Central Park neighborhood, East 26th Ave and Ulster). This hands on effort is benefitted by a pre-drilling of the tree hole by the city and all necessary tools and supplies provided by The Park People.

Our Club is going to sand and paint 45 bathroom vanities and 45 shelf units for an apartment renovation project to benefit Wellspring Community. In addition, we are going to paint their new meeting/cafeteria room and provide them with new tables and chairs.

Highway 74 is the entrance to our amazing area and the first impression many visitors from out of town experience. As we enter summer ad we welcome more tourists and guests, we want to make sure the area is looking clean and showing the world how proud we are of Evergreen. We will meet at the Evergreen Park and Ride and then spread out to clean up the sides of the highway between Mcdonald's and King Soopers.

Please wear good shoes, your Rotary t-shirt and bring gloves. We will provide trash bags.

On the 18th of May come join us at Crown Hill Cemetery to help maintenance dept. care for overgrown and diseased trees. Crown Hill is such a large population of unique trees, helping care for this wonderful resource will help out City's canopy. On this day we will provide tools, gloves, snacks, (maybe lunch), and fellowship.

South Jeffco Rotay Club is working with Foothills Parks and Recreation to restore habitat, control noxious plants and improve pollinator species at Mossbrucker Memorial Park in Jefferson County Colorado. While this project is ongoing, we will be gathering on May 18th for a day of service including planting and terraforming.

Denver Cherry Creek Rotary Club and Five Points RiNo Rotary are championing this event in collaboration. The work includes turning compost, broad forking fields, trimming brush, and general cleanup for those who are able. For people who would like to contribute in a less physically demanding way, running tools, water, sunblock, and snacks from the barn out to volunteers would also be an immense help. All supplies would be provided, apart from water and snacks, and I recommend volunteers bring their own gloves.

This outdoor location has the capacity to accommodate 120 volunteers in two shifts of 60 volunteers the first from 10-12 and the second from 1-3.

The Boulder Flatirons Rotary Club will be partnering with the MASA Seed Foundation to provide volunteers for the Foundation’s plant nursery, the fields, the Seedhouse. Come learn about open-pollinated seed production, contribute to local food sovereignty, and make new friends. MASA’s volunteers enjoy a diverse crop-growing experience and learn many aspects of farming and seed growing. We will have two shifts (morning and afternoon) between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Aurora Gateway Rotary Club will ask for food donations from King Sooper Customers for the Little Free Pantries. The club fills these pantries 6 days a week with canned and dry foods for homeless and less fortunate people who need food. We will also be soliciting donations from friends, family and associates through the internet to buy more food for them.

Join the Growing Gardens organization for a day of service in which you and other Rotarians will plant, weed, fertilize, and be a part of an all volunteer work force that has fed the homeless with sustainable farming practices that have resulted in tons of fresh produce distributed through the Our Center in Longmont.

Members, families and friends are needed! We adopted the Dickens Farm Nature Area on Boston Avenue between Main and Martin streets along the St Vrain Creek. This section has been developed and improved following the 2013 flood

The Adopt-a-Park program in partnership with the City of Longmont requires us to spend at least one day per month at the nature area, picking up trash and debris, cleaning up shelters and play areas, and reporting vandalism, non-functioning lights or other damage to the area. We will be using the 3rd Saturday of each month from 8 am to 10 am to do this work. Meet at the Dickens' Farm Nature Area parking lot off of Martin St. Wear gloves and comfortable, closed-toe shoes recommended.

On May 18th we will be out at the Aurora Public Safety Training Center at 29590 E. Quincy Ave, Aurora Colorado. We are looking forward to volunteers helping us! We have 2 shifts- 8:00 am -10:30 am and 10:00 am -1:00 pm.

The Aurora Fire Rescue is putting together a variety of activities for all ages from putting out fires on the premise with real fire hoses, watching the jaws of life at work, taking pictures with firefighters, a youth run with firefighters in full gear, fire trucks and emergency vehicles to explore and much more. This event is to earn money to buy the Aurora Fire Rescue a Fire Education Safety Trailer. We welcome any and all donations.

We have compiled a list with Bal Swan staff on Spring projects they are looking to complete. Please note when you volunteer any interest in a specific project listed below. We will assign volunteers as needed on the day of service as well.

1. Painting line-up shapes on the playground on the North side. We are in need of 3 to 4 volunteers per shift for this task.
2. Painting hopscotch/road/etc....on the playground near the front of the building. We are in need of 2 to 3 volunteers per shift for this task.
3. Install a tunnel on two different playgrounds. We are in need of 3 to 4 volunteers per shift for this task.
4. Clean out gutters. We are in need of 2 to 3 volunteers per shift for this task.
5. Power wash the building.
6. Spread mulch to make sure we have the right depth. We are in need of 2 to 3 volunteers per shift for this task.
7. Wax the linoleum floors.
8. Sand and stain the wood gym floor.
9. Paint pool floor. We are in need of 2 to 3 volunteers per shift for this task.
10. Rake up and bag leaves around the property. We are in need of 1 to 2 volunteers per shift for this task.

We will be doing trash pick up at Cherry Creek State Park on Saturday May 18th. Time and logistic details to follow.

The Native Colorado Plants Planting Project is a collaborative effort between the Erie Rotary Club, the Town of Erie, and the Friends of Coal Creek aimed at restoring and beautifying public spaces along Coal Creek.

This project aligns with the Erie Rotary Club's EPIC Day of Service initiative, scheduled for May 19th. The project aims to enhance biodiversity, support pollinator communities, and engage the community in environmental stewardship.

Mission Statement:
Our mission is to cultivate a vibrant and resilient community in Erie by restoring and enhancing public spaces with native Colorado plants. Through collaborative efforts with the Erie Rotary Club, the Town of Erie, and the Friends of Coal Creek, we aim to promote biodiversity, support pollinator populations, and engage residents in environmental stewardship. By planting the seeds of change along Coal Creek, we strive to create a sustainable and welcoming habitat that fosters pride, connection, and well-being for generations to come.

Volunteers and community members will sand, paint, and make minor repairs to the fences, benches, and other outdoor equipment and furniture on the Family Learning Center's property.

The DENVER SOUTHEAST, HIGHLANDS RANCH, DENVER LODO and CENTENNIAL SATELLITE clubs are joining forces with Project CURE to deliver health and hope to those in need. We’ll sort and pack life-saving medical equipment and supplies collected from local healthcare providers and prepare them for shipment throughout the world to medical facilities serving people suffering from poverty, disasters, and violence.

Roles include: Preparing medical supplies for shipment by sorting, quality checking, packing, or labeling supplies. (This can be done sitting down)
Preparing equipment for shipment by cleaning, testing, or labeling equipment.
Special projects such as breaking open surgical packs, size sorting scrubs, etc.
Warehouse logistics, such as moving boxes, equipment, etc. to make our warehouse more efficient. (This requires some effort)

The Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club of Parker will be conducting an EPIC Recycling Event for paint and electronics to benefit residents of Parker, CO and surrounding Douglas County area. The recycling event will be held at Legend High School from 9AM to 2PM on the EPIC Day of Service held May 18th, 2024. Our partners for this event will be CORE Electric, Legend High School, GreenSheen Eco-Friendly Paint, Redwood Materials, and Shred-it.

The Rotary Club of Summit Count has an on-going weekly plastic film recycling project in association with Trex, which uses the film in their product, and we have up-cycled over 12,000 pounds of plastic film over 2 years. We will extend this pick-up to the entire county for our Epic Day of Service. We will work with the Breckenridge Club. Volunteers will visit local businesses several weeks prior to the day of service to ask them to save clean plastic film and we will pick it up, clean it and weigh it on the day of service. We have arranged to drive the plastic to a Trex pick up point in Denver where it will be put on a truck and sent to Trex. We need volunteers to canvass the local businesses 2-3 weeks prior to the Day of service and need teams to pick up plastic, transport it to the high school, clean and weigh it and load it into the truck.

In conjunction with Aurora Fire Rescue, Smoky Hill Rotary, Aurora Rotary, and Fitzsimmons Rotary will participate in a kick-off event and fundraiser to purchase a Mobile Fire Education House to be used for safety education at schools and in the community. The May 18th Fire Safety Field Day will be at the Aurora Safety Training Center at 29590 East Quincy Ave, Aurora (by the Aurora Fairgrounds) from 8:30 to 12:00. Firefighters will man stations that include activities for all ages from putting out a real fire with hoses, watching a Jaws of Life at work, a firefighter chase with firefighters in gear, an aerial ladder climb, pictures with firefighters, fire trucks and emergency vehicles to explore and more. The event is free and donations are welcome.
We are also looking for volunteers for the May 18th Fire Safety Field Day.

A county wide community event, by the community, for the community. A spring clean-up centering on the Clear Creek but including the communities of Georgetown, Idaho Springs and areas in-between. Supported by the Clear Creek Rotary’s EPIC Day of Service, our local governments and businesses, and culminating with a rafting season kick off celebration.

* Project 1:
PART A: pick up garden soil and compost (at least) the day before at Home Depot
PART B: Assemble two raised bed containers, fill with garden soil, amend existing container soil with compost, assist residents in planting seeds. Help prep existing gardens for planting, as needed.

* Project 2: Provide pots, soil & seeds/plants for residents to plant pots for indoor gardening at Canyon Gate Apartments for seniors and people with disabilities.

* Project 3: Join with Be a Tool/Neighborhood Rehab Project NRP to build two ramps for two residents of a Golden mobile home community.

Sprouting Up is an organization whose mission is to improve the lives of children, teens and families living in under resourced neighborhoods in Fort Collins through farming and job skill training. They empower youth trough job skills, hope, optimism and self-efficacy for a brighter future. They have internship programs, apprenticeship programs and cooking classes for youth.
Sprouting Up is in need of a greenhouse to start plants in the spring and grow plants for early and late season production. Rotary After Work is planning to build
a greenhouse for them.

Rotarians of the Lakewood Foothills Rotary Club and Volunteers from Jeffco Eats will collect donated food items in front of the Kings Soopers from 8:45AM to 5:15PM on May 18th at 1545 S Kipling Pkwy.

Jeffco Eats helps students and families by providing food over the weekends, currently providing bags of food for over 500 families each weekend. They insure that no child goes hungry by serving those in Jeffco Title One schools, GAP schools, Section 8 housing, and Head Start programs. They partner with Food Bank of Rockies and the Jeffco Public Schools federal Title I Schools program. Specific geographic areas served are Lakewood, Edgewater, Wheat Ridge and Arvada. Many of the students and families served are the homeless population. Volunteers wanting to support Jeffco Eats and Rotarians from other clubs are welcome to join us.

We will be loading a container of mobility devices (wheel chairs, walkers, crutches, etc) for distribution to Polio survivors in Africa.

Come to Indian Peak Wilderness on May 18 for Rotary EPIC Day of Service!

Boulder Rotary Club and the YMCA of Northern Colorado are collaborating to restore the YMCA Camp Tumbleson Lake. The YMCA purchased the Camp from the Boy Scouts of America this spring. Unused for 3 years, the Camp is in dire need of volunteers to help get the Camp ready for as many as 150 day campers this summer.

Chores range from clearing brush and trail maintenance to setting up classrooms and will accommodate volunteers of a full range of agility and age. Come on May 18 for as much time as you would like to spend between 9AM and 4PM, no limit to the number or age of volunteers. It is a perfect outing for the whole family!

This service is club support by our members who want to provide leadership and support so that all club members get signed up for the Fundraising pledge solicitations. Also, encouraging members to send out pledge solicitations to 30 to 50 recipients like family, friends, or colleagues.

Fort Morgan Rotary members, volunteers and Log Lane Village residents are invited to help clean up Highway 144 between the County barn and the west edge of Log Lane Village. Coffee and snacks will be provided at 9 am near the Dollar General store on Highway 144 in Log Lane Village.

Project Angel Heart provides medically tailored meals with specific dietary needs to neighbors living with severe illnesses across Colorado.

“We packaged up the lasagna and a salad and put magazines and roses in the bags, and drew little notes on the bags as well,” he said “And we had a small band of volunteers that delivered them that day. And that's how it started.”

Highlands Ranch Rotary Club is having a three hour bag decorating project to prepare the bags that these meals are delivered in to our Colorado neighbors.

IFCS has programs to nourish lives and help alleviate hunger in our community. IFCS depends on volunteers to accomplish their objectives. On this Epic Day of Service volunteers are going to help sort through their warehouse preparing for the next weeks donating of food and necessities to be distributed.

Starting in 2006, Golden Rotary has invited our community to nominate ethical businesses, and Ethics-class students at the School of Mines choose the winner. May 4th Highway Clean Up
It's time for Highway Clean Up now that the snow has melted. We will convene at the Singletree Pavilion on May 4th. We are compiling a team to help with the Highway Clean and we will be taking the area on i70 East and West sides between mile markers 161 and 162 or so.

Each year, local groups cooperate to cleanup litter and other trash that has accumulated in the area of the Purgatoire River which runs through Trinidad. This year, the Trinidad will use this project as one of two Rotary Day of Service Projects.

This is a day of education for children held each year at Trinidad State College. The Trinidad Rotary Club has been helping with the event for a few years and plans to continue participation this year.

We will be repairing a few of the horse paddocks and repainting them. The sensory garden will be cleaned up and made ready for planting. The Horse exercise track needs fencing installed.

The Outreach United Resource Center, Inc. (OUR Center) provides critical services such as food, housing, and utilities to help families achieve self-reliance. The Rotary Club of Niwot will be serving lunch at the OUR Center on Sunday, May 19. There will be two shifts each with 6 to 8 volunteers. The first shift from 10:00 am - noon will cook and serve lunch. The second shift from noon to 2:00 pm will continue serving lunch and clean up.

This will be the clean-up of trash and other non-natural items along a 3 mile section of the Santa Fe Trail. This is the section from North Gate Road by the AFA Academy and Baptist Road in Monument CO. This also includes the trimming of weeds and other plants around a shelter around the mid-point of that trail section.

East Rotary Club of Colorado Springs works alongside the Boy Scouts of America to install flag poles in neighborhood communities and raise American flags at those locations on five major holidays of the year: Flag Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, and Veteran's Day. The club provides financial and administrative support for the Boy Scout's project and helps install the poles at residences. We will have several volunteer shifts in April and May, including a shift on May 18th, to dig holes and pour the concrete to install new flag pole foundations and sleeves and to repair existing ones.

For Testing Only. Project A

It is our mission to serve a minimum of 1,000 children through the EPIC Day of Service. We will be packing 1,000 backpacks with food for students who struggle with food insecurity. The Backpack Society provides food to kids on weekends and school breaks when they don’t have access to food at school.

In addition to packing the backpacks, we will be assisting the Backpack Society with any needs they have inside their Food Pantry like sorting food, stocking shelves, packing bins, etc.

There may also be opportunities for us to pack Birthday Boxes, Family Boxes, Crisis Boxes, and design hand-made birthday cards.

Food donations will also be accepted.

The Backpack Society currently supports 48 schools in the Douglas County and Littleton School Districts, and they are currently opening support to Englewood Schools.

The Backpack Society is a 100% Community supported non-profit based in Highlands Ranch, CO.

Rotarians will meet for fellowship by getting together with other volunteers for breakfast at 9:00 am. We will then proceed to two areas, one is a highway clean up and the other is River Trail cleanup. The highway cleanup is a week prior to the IRON HORSE bicycle race that sees 2,500 bicycles, both pro and amateur, race from Durango to Silverton over two mountain passes. State Highway 550 is closed to traffic for this event and this draws an international and local audience.
The River Trail, is a trail system that traverses the entire distance of Downtown Durango along Animas River.

Rotarians and invited guests will spend the morning of May 18th cleaning up the historic cemetery. The Platteville Mizpah Cemetery is the oldest public cemetery in Weld County that is still in use.

The Help and Hope Center is there to help out our neighbors when times are tough, whether it is with rent assistance, food needs and more. Many donations are received in December, but in late spring the shelves tend to get bare. The High Noon Rotary Club of Castle Rock will conduct a food and personal hygiene products drive from 9 to noon at the Ridge Road King Soopers in Castle Rock with the intention of filling those shelves back up!
