Fire Safety for Seniors in Thornton

Join the fun on Saturday, May 18, for the Rotary Day of Service - 9:30am to 3:00pm.

Northglenn/Thornton Rotary, in partnership with the Thornton Fire Department and the American Red Cross, will install 10-year lithium-ion battery smoke detectors in Thornton’s 55-and-older mobile home park community.

Volunteers will visit the homes of people who choose to participate in teams of 3. One volunteer will help homeowners with an escape plan in case of a fire (Educator), a 2nd person will install the new smoke alarm (Installer), and a 3rd person will be responsible for documentation (Documenter).

You do not have to be a Rotary member to volunteer. Training and materials will be provided.
