Rotary Year of Cheer:  Bringing Joy to Hospitalized Children

  July 2025 - July 2026

The Rotary Year of Cheer is a year-long toy and gift drive created by District 5520 Rotary Clubs in New Mexico and Southwest Texas to bring joy to the young patients of UNM Children’s Hospital and El Paso  Children’s  Hospital, part of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This initiative focuses on enhancing the hospitals' celebrations, adding extra joy to birthdays, holidays, and memorable moments for children facing serious health challenges.  By contributing toys and gifts, Rotarians and Friends of Rotary can help brighten the days of these hospitalized children throughout the year.  Join us in spreading smiles and showing the power of Rotary in our communities, making this a true year of cheer for our hospitals’ young patients!

Let’s flood the halls of UNM Children’s Hospital and El Paso Children’s Hospital with JOY by collecting toys, games, books, and comfort items for children who need a reason to smile.
