Highway 71 Roadside Cleanup Project
As part of Rotary International's Epic Day of Service, the Scottsbluff/Gering Rotary Club will be cleaning up our newly adopted three-mile section of Highway 71 (between the Highway 26 juncion by Maverik to Lake Minatare Road), on Saturday, May 17th beginning at 9:00 a.m.
The Nebraska DOT will provide everything you need - litter bags, traffic signs, safety vests, and disposes of the filled trash bags. All you have to do is show up and help. We will meet in the parking lot at Scotts Bluff Country Club and divide up into groups and start the cleaning process.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
- Bring a hat and a shirt with long sleeves for protection from sun and insects.
- Bring water, and an adequate first aid kit.
- Bring heavy-duty gloves and sturdy-soled shoes or boots for protection.
After we are done, we will all meet back at the Country Club, for a free lunch and beverages. The more people who help, the quicker the clean-up will go. Everyone - including non-Rotarians - of all ages are welcome, but those under age 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please sign-up below so we know how many to plan on!
