CAA Update: 6/9/23 – Making Connections

I want to share with everyone the progress we have made with the development and pilot program of Community Across America. Though it has only been a few months since I decided to launch this summer (a year early), things are progressing much quicker than I had ever imagined.

First, I must thank everyone who has been supportive of this endeavor. In the spirit of brevity, allow me to express my gratitude in a broad stroke to the individuals, community-based organizations, professors, public officials, and business owners of Summit County, Denver, Rotary International, Toastmasters International, and S.C.O.R.E.

At the time of this post, we have over 100 registered members and nearly 500 volunteer events listed on our calendar. We have yet to establish any official partnerships, but we are in conversations with several prospects that we are exploring to help us further our cause. Among these are Breckenridge Grand Vacations, Vail Resorts, the University of Colorado Denver, the Downtown Denver Partnership, U.S. Bank, Colorado Forward Party, Rotary International, Toastmasters International, and Governor Polis’ Office of Community Engagement.

I am continually humbled by the sense of community and responsibility to community that is found here among the people of Colorado. It is my hope that we can soon spread that same sense of Community Across America.
